DKV water guide for Swabia, Upper Bavaria and Lower Bavaria
13st edition 2021, 512 pages

The DKV water guide for southern Bavaria is the standard work for canoe tours in the southern part of Bavaria. It includes the Danube and all rivers south of it in the Free State as well as some upper reaches of Alpine rivers in Austria. Dispensing with lengthy subjective descriptions, he gives a systematic overview of all 200 paddling waters in the region. The character of the watercourse and its difficulties, gradients and possible usage regulations are described. Favorable entry and exit points, weirs, danger spots, but also rest and overnight options are listed along a precise kilometer. In one part of the map, the location of all the bodies of water described can be seen in four-color map sections.

In the currently available 13th edition of the DKV water guide, numerous changes and additions have been incorporated, which have resulted, for example, from structural changes or changed navigation regulations. In addition, some rivers have been added. Dozens of volunteers from the ranks of the German Canoe Association have contributed to making this work the most comprehensive and accurate canoe book for Bavaria.
