The Kober Rebell EFC is a high-quality whitewater paddle with a foam core and forward blades. The blade is made of a carbon composite with a foam core. It has a low flex and at the same time good surfacing behavior, which makes the roll easier with this paddle. The Dynel® edge protects the laminate from damage and splintering when it comes into contact with stone.
The blade is offset forward from the shaft. This means that the pressure point on the hand is also moved forward and the paddle has a longer pull distance. The smooth back of the blade prevents turbulence when pulling the Kober Rebel.
With the T7 division, this paddle can be dismantled into two parts and, if necessary, adjusted in length and number of degrees. This makes it particularly suitable for long flights and small storage spaces. The T7 division consists of a metal ring with a quick release. This means that the paddle cannot shift even under heavy loads. The interlocking shaft parts allow the paddle length to be extended up to 6 cm.
Since May 2023, Kober has also been using the improved T7 pitch for whitewater paddles. The slot on the quick release was rounded off towards the inside. The load at the transition from the quick release to the paddle shaft is therefore reduced. In addition, the inner sleeve, which engages with the quick release or the shaft tube, was additionally reinforced with carbon. This is intended to reduce shaft breaks of the paddle at the pitch. However, a break, especially when touching the bottom during the Eskimo roll or when using the paddle bridge (inappropriately), can never be completely ruled out in white water!
