The Lettmann Liberty Light with Vario pitch is an excellent sea kayak paddle based on Greenland paddles. In the version with the Vario division, it can be easily stowed away and transported. The narrow but long paddle blades give the wind a small attack surface and so maximum propulsion can be achieved with little effort. The foam core in the blade provides enormous flexural rigidity and also ensures an absolutely robust blade. The all-round aramid edge reduces wear. The profile in the blade creates a hydrodynamic lift during paddle strokes, which allows the paddle blade to be guided in a stable and flutter-free manner. The Lettmann Liberty is designed for a flat paddling technique and can be paddled in a relaxed or sporty way, depending on the area of use.
The combination of carbon, glass and aramid fibers ensure high stability with a slight flex in the paddle. The term light refers to the number of layers on top of each other. This is how the paddle achieves a phenomenal light weight of only 880-900 grams! A surrounding aramid edge prevents the individual layers from splitting.
The Vario division Touring of the Lettmann Liberty Light consists of an aluminum clamping ring with a quick release. This allows the paddle to be lengthened in any number of degrees and for test purposes up to 10 cm. For standard use, an extension of only up to 6 cm is recommended.
The paddle is available in lengths between 210 and 230 cm
