The Lettmann Liberty Light is an excellent sea kayak paddle based on Greenland paddles. The narrow but long paddle blades give the wind a small attack surface and so maximum propulsion can be achieved with little effort. The foam core in the blade provides enormous flexural rigidity and also ensures an absolutely robust blade. The all-round aramid edge reduces wear. The profile in the blade creates a hydrodynamic lift during paddle strokes, which allows the paddle blade to be guided in a stable and flutter-free manner. The Lettmann Liberty Light is designed for a flat paddling technique and can be paddled in a relaxed or sporty way, depending on the area of use.
The combination of carbon, glass and aramid fibers ensure high stability with a slight flex in the paddle. The term light refers to the number of layers on top of each other. This is how the paddle achieves a phenomenal light weight of only 830-850 grams! A surrounding aramid edge prevents the individual layers from splitting.
The paddle is available in lengths between 210 and 230 cm (special lengths on request). We recommend 55 degrees as rotation (special requests on request).
