The Palm FX is a lightweight, basic whitewater life jacket perfect for beginners. The life jacket is put on over the head and can be easily tightened with two straps on the stomach. The shoulder straps are sewn to the hip straps as is usual for a whitewater life jacket. Palm checks the shoulder straps for up to 320 kg tensile force. The life jacket's buoyancy chambers are very low, allowing maximum freedom of movement around the shoulders. In addition to snacks, the large breast pocket also fits carabiners, knives and slings. In the smallest size, the FX is an excellent children's/youth life jacket from around 10 years of age.
For a full-fledged whitewater life jacket, the Palm FX naturally still lacks the recovery strap, which is in the PalmFXr is included.
