With the 9R II, Pyranha has given the popular 9 foot race kayak an update. With a length of 272 cm (M), the kayak is approved for many international whitewater races. The cut off stern allows the boat to be driven extremely fast. The flat bottom paired with a strong edge give a good straight run even in difficult white water and allow fast edge changes. Recesses on the sides make it easier to immerse the paddle and thus ensure maximum acceleration.
The strong bow rocker with the well-known wave deflectors from Pyranha ensure the necessary safety even in tricky situations. In this way, the speed can also be taken through core areas and waste. The stern sits close to the waterline at high speeds, allowing edge use for steering. At low speeds, the stern lifts out of the water, making the boat easier to turn. The large volume at the back avoids diving in the flood water. Recesses in the tail make it easier for the water to drain away when diving through and surfacing after difficult spots.
Like almost all Pyranha boats, the Pyranha 9R II comes with the comfortable Stout II seating system and extremely robust aluminum handles and attachment points.
By the way: The “old” Pyranha 9R is still available!
