Considered a phenomenal throw by Pyranha, the 9R defines the race-creeker. The flat hull and the small width ensure good straight running and high speed. Due to the flat bottom, which starts at the bow, the water that hits it is quickly channeled under the boat and provides strong buoyancy. Rounded edges on the bow provide the necessary security even in heavy white water. With a length of 271 cm, the kayak is approved for many international whitewater races.
With the 9R, Pyranha installed its wave deflectors on a whitewater creeker for the first time. In this way, the kayak breaks the waves away from the bow and reduces the surface tension between the boat and the kayak. The strong bow rocker easily breaks through waves and rolls. So the kayak keeps its speed even in heavy white water. At the stern, the rounded bow transitions into a sharp edge. The stern sits close to the waterline at high speeds, allowing edge use for steering. At low speeds, the stern lifts out of the water, making the boat easier to turn.
Like almost all Pyranha boats, the Pyranha 9R comes with the comfortable Stout II seating system and extremely robust aluminum handles and attachment points.
The 9R has also undergone an upgrade over the many years and is as Pyranha 9R II In Stock
