The Sweet Elbow Guards are elbow protectors for use on narrow and rocky creeks. Originally from the mountain bike and downhill sectors, Sweet has also optimized these protectors for use in canoeing.
The elbow pads are made of perforated neoprene from which water can drain quickly. The Sweet Elbow Guards are slipped over the arms onto the elbows and worn under the paddle jacket.
The combination of stretch and neoprene material ensures a perfect fit. A flexible rubber band with a rubberized inside keeps the protectors in place. The elbows are protected with a shock-absorbing pad made of dimensionally stable foam. This is designed for multiple impacts and can therefore continue to be used after contact with a stone. The outside of the upholstery is also covered with aramid fabric.
