The Werner Powerhouse is one of the most popular whitewater paddles with laminate blades. With the big paddle blades versus the smaller one Werner Sherpa it guarantees maximum propulsion. The blade is made of fiberglass with a central foam core rib. This stiffens the blade considerably and allows for a smooth, flutter-free stroke – even with a strong paddling arm. The two sides of the leaf to the right and left of the foam rib are oriented in a V-shape. With this technology from aircraft construction, the blade is stabilized along the axis of the shaft. Werner's fiberglass blade is known for its resistance to buckling and breaking, but wears out evenly when it comes into contact with stones.
The fiberglass shaft combines low weight with light flex. In the event of stone contact, the shaft cushions part of the blow to the wrists. The narrow shaft is available for all paddles at no additional cost and is particularly popular with many paddlers.
On request, the Werner Powerhouse is also available with an Ergo shaft made of carbon

Details
- Material selection and manufacturing allow a perfect combination of low swing weight and rigidity
- The fiberglass blade construction offers a compromise between light weight and value
- The V-shape allows for smooth and stable forward paddling, a core philosophy of Werner
- The specially shaped, flat and reinforced guide rib allows for improved maneuverability of the blade and ensures high blade stiffness and overall strength
- The blades are ideal for larger, well-trained paddlers
- Optimized Flex and Strength - Engineered to relieve stress on the body without sacrificing traction
- Light colored translucent fiberglass laminate sheet
- Cast from 0-90° for right-hand steering or left-hand steering, possible in 5-degree increments. R45 is the most popular model for whitewater and R30 for play boating.
