The Palm Kayak Float Bag Heavy Weight also gives a flooded boat the necessary buoyancy. Buoyancy devices in the bow and stern of a whitewater kayak are essential for the recovery of floating boats. This is the only way the boat floats above the water surface and can be towed ashore with other kayaks. The buoyancy body of the heavy weight version consists of a robust nylon fabric that is sealed airtight with PVC on the inside. The air bag is well protected against abrasion.
The buoyancy body can be inflated via a PVC hose with a screw cap. There is a large plug for drying and quick deflation of the airbag. Depending on the size of the boat, the Palm Kayak Float Bag is available with a volume of 15, 20 and 25 liters. For a whitewater kayak, at least two 20 L floats should be used for the stern.
The Palm Float Bags are also available in a lighter PVC standard version
