Alpine camps Salzburger Land

No question – Toros Outdoors is at home in Southeastern Europe. Every now and then we take a short breather between our trips. And paddling in the Alps. Saalach, Lammer and Koppi are simply beautiful. The Lieser and the powerful waters of the Salzach are just around the corner! We'll show you the best rivers at our Alpine camps in Salzburger Land. Together we formulate clear course goals and get your paddling technique fit. The highly trained Toros kayak instructors will take you to the next level.

Three to eight days of white water fun on the most beautiful rivers around Salzburg, plus an individually tailored technique course. The shortest possible distances for a maximum amount of time in the boat, all from our centrally located base camps in Golling and Lofer. Regardless of whether you are just approaching the three or are looking for the thrill in the heavy white water - the rivers in the Salzburger Land are ideal for exploring limits and improving your technique in a safe environment. Our canoe instructors not only know the area like the back of their hand, but also have the know-how to put the finishing touches to your technique.

Contact us and together we will find out what matters to you. Everyone works a little differently. It is you who set the pace. During the alpine camps, we can fully cater to your needs.

Saalach - world champion river for every requirement

The Loferer Tal has hosted slalom and freestyle competitions many times. The Saalach is incredibly diverse and the ideal training area from WW I to V. We paddle mainly between Au and Unken (WW II-III), on the slalom course (WW III +) and in the Martinsschlucht (WW III-IV). On the routes around Lofer, we find the perfect block course to fine-tune our technique. Surf waves for every taste guarantee maximum driving pleasure.

Lieser - Almost forgotten classic on the way to Soca

A legendary kayak river for slalom and downhill paddlers in the 80s, the Lieser was a little forgotten when the Soca was “discovered” in the XNUMXs. Wrongly! Long structured rapids make the Lieser the ideal training flow, including great surfing waves. The short but crisp Lieserschlucht at the end of the route is the cherry on the cake.

Königsseer Ache – On drinking water to Berchtesgaden

Crystal clear, lively and fast and still an insider tip. The Königsseer Ache can be paddled shortly after the lake outflow, and in early summer the blue splashes abundantly through the open forest valley. Lots of clearing water for practice, always brisk currents and the great landscape make the »Königsseer« the ideal river for coming in and coming down. We show you the hidden pearl at the foot of the Watzmann.

Salzach - Ready to Rumble

The Salzach is a veritable glacial river. Even if numerous reservoirs tame the impetuous creature, the river shows what it is made of in parts of it. In early summer, the Salzach near Taxenbach is a real hit. The current pushes mightily down the valley. Fast currents, giant waves and, as the highlight, a long, supersonic slide. Real balancing water stop!

Lammer - The “Soca Salzburgs”

Technical surges, crisp balancing courses and a breathless canyon. The walls come together to the length of the boat, and unclear block rapids create tension. No, we are not talking about the notorious "lamb ovens". The “Soca Salzburgs” around the Voglauer Klamm has a lot of fun and adrenaline to offer even for normal paddlers - with clear water, white limestone and smoothly polished walls, of course. Almost Slovenian.

Koppentraun - Austria's best river

The "Koppi" - a nickname or a person of respect? Almost ten kilometers of wild water in the canyon without road access, but with famous rapids like the “Ungschauten”, the magical “Eissee” and lots of campfire stories outside. In spring, the Koppentraun is a heavy balancing quad and does not tolerate any mistakes. If the water sinks after the melt, advanced whitewater paddlers can venture into the Koppenschlucht under an expert guide. Will the river god be gracious to us?
