The Piave rises in the central Dolomites and flows from there towards the Adriatic. Since 2022 we have been driving to the Piave in addition to the Tagliamento. The clear meltwater from the Alps ensures cold, crystal-clear water on the wide gravel fields of the river bed until June. From Belluno we start a 4-5 day tour to the Po Valley.
The Piave is a little more difficult than the Tagliamento, especially in the first part. In some surges, whitewater level II+ is reached and the waves are slightly higher. Nevertheless, the Piave tour can also be mastered by canoe beginners. Special tour enthusiasts can also complete the tour directly after the tagliamento.
The Piave tour can also be combined with the Tagliamento tour!

Important:
Weather and water conditions may require short-term changes to route and river selection. Although May and July in Italy are mostly sunny, individual rainy days are possible. In addition, the water levels depend heavily on the snow conditions. Therefore, the tagliamento may not be possible due to too little or too much water. In this case we switch to the Piave.
