Georgia has been part of Toros Outdoors' repertoire for over 10 years. The mild climate, even in October, combined with very reliable rainfall make it a top destination for paddlers who don't want to freeze on the stream at this time of year. With our good contacts in the country, we can not only find the best water levels for you, but also excellent accommodation and food.
Between the Small and Large Caucasus Mountains, countless streams flow into the Black Sea. The large streams of the Greater Caucasus in Ratscha and Lower Svaneti, fed by glacier water, still carry a lot of water even in autumn and can be easily compared with the Ötztal. In the south-west, however, the subtropical landscape of the Little Caucasus beckons with jungle creeks and crystal-clear water. Here we depend on one or two rains. But it doesn't get really cold there, even in bad weather.
We start from Georgia's second largest city, Kutaisi, almost exactly in the middle of the country. Depending on the weather, we go to one of the two mountains. Depending on the nature of the paths, we use sprinters, four-wheel drive vehicles or Ural trucks on site. Adventure is guaranteed right from the moment you arrive! On the way we usually stay in family-run guesthouses, which sometimes also provide the typical local dinner.
